The program designs of Project Adventure have been built and refined based on the practical lessons of decades of work in experiential education and Adventure programming, while also reflecting cutting-edge, contemporary research findings from a variety of related fields. PA has a strong and continuing commitment to conducting systematic program evaluations to identify these crucial lessons and to maintain the high-quality services that our clients have come to expect. This emphasis on systematic data collection and analysis about our programs also reflects our organization-wide commitment to data-driven decision-making.
As a leader in the field, we consider it our responsibility to promote and support research on experience-based Adventure education to inform our own practice and continue to advance the entire industry. Although we are not a research institution ourselves, we have forged strong partnerships with universities and non-profit agencies to advance our collaborative agenda. As an organization with a deep understanding of research and evaluation as well as program design and implementation, we bridge these two areas of work to inform our own work and that of others in our field.
